Disney Plus
As Disney Plus looks to expand its user market, our team was hired to redesign their web experience in a way that more effectively caters to both adults and children alike. By renovating their applications in a way that further captures the attention of Disney Plus’ adult subscribers, we aimed to increase their market share and overall customer satisfaction.

Assumptions
In order to redesign a new Disney Plus homepage that simultaneously meets the needs of both adult and child viewers, we have made the following assumptions:
1. Disney Plus subscribers would like to have a centralized account that caters to both adults and children.
2. Disney Plus subscribers want efficiency in finding adult content.
3. Disney Plus subscribers would like to prevent underage access to adult content.

Parental Controls
Disney Plus subscribers would like to easily identify and distinguish between content that is suitable for adults, and content that is suitable for children.
Recommendations
Based on our assumptions, we recommend the following changes to Disney Plus’ website and mobile application:
Individual Carousel: These carousels will allow users to quickly swipe through previously watched content, as well as recommended content, based on the user profiles attached to the account. If a profile belongs to an adult user, all content in the carousel will be overlaid with an opaque filter, only to be unlocked for viewership with the user’s pin number.
Profile Switching Navigation: For a more individual experience, we ensured to include a navigation bar that allows subscribers to quickly switch between their profiles. Whether Disney Plus is being utilized by a child or an adult, this feature allows users to see content solely appropriate for their age group and preferences.

Recommendations Continued
Centralized Homepage: This homepage will be the default landing page, and give users the opportunity to choose what their experiences will be. The centralized homepage aggregates all users of the service together, to create a family-friendly locality.
Content Rating Overlay: All content is now displayed with their individual rating from the Motion Picture Association. These ratings will be color-coded and displayed in the bottom right corner of the content display tile, for easy parsing by adult and child users alike. PG-13 and above content will feature the same opaque overlay as the individual carousels.
